The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced new contributions limits for 457(b), 401(k), and 403(b) retirement plans for calendar year 2023.

Effective January 1, 2022, eligible MSRS retirees and other benefit recipients will receive a post-retirement pension benefit increase.

MSRS is currently seeking candidates to fill three upcoming vacancies. Deadline to apply to be a candidate is Friday, October 1, 2021.

Update (7/1/2021) - The House and Senate passed a budget before midnight July 1, 2021 to avoid a state government shutdown.

No substantial changes were made to MSRS retirement plans during 2021 session.

Payments you receive from your MSRS accounts may be reportable on income tax returns. MSRS will mail tax documents by January 31.
